The problem
Four hours, every two months.
Victor Talavera wore his hair long. Every two months it cost him about four hours in front of a mirror with a pair of scissors, taking split ends off one small section at a time — and every pass took length he had spent two months growing.
So he built the tool he wanted: one that takes the ends and leaves the length, in minutes rather than an afternoon.
