Split Ender guides a small section of hair through a guarded chamber, so the trimming system can address the tips that enter the cutting area. The length outside the chamber is not what the blades meet. It is designed for split-end maintenance while preserving the overall appearance of length. What changes from one texture to the next is how the hair is prepared.

Straight
Falls straight from root to tip, with little or no natural bend along the length.
